    CX season!

For the alternator, that happens ...was it the original one or had it been already changed in the past ?

My CX has just passed the "technical control" (don't know how to say that in english sorry) and is now allowed to cruise for 2 years more icon10.gif ...so even if it's a bit ugly I'll take photos soon ;)

Looking forward to see your CX. A CX is never ugly - only more or less interesting. But I hope yours doesn't look like this one:

    ;)

I changed the alternator last year as well. Bought a used one from the Norwegian CX Club. I guess it was allready worn out... :( This time i put in a brand new one.

In my country - the CT is called EU-kontroll. And my Prestige passed it's test in May this year. :)

    CX season!

I've been building a shed this summer - which I just discovered creates a nice shade from the sun. :)

On a trip to the west coast last weekend (1500 km) I had to change the alternator. Total is now 317 000 km. "barely run in" :)

    CX season!

there's no word to describe how nice and perfect your car is ;)

PS : don't hesistate to take many fotos of your CX again !!! your pictures are as great as your car (...almost ;) )

Thanx, but I'm shure you'll find something that's not perfect - if you look closely enough. Anyway - I guess it's good enough for me. ;)

I will continue to take photos - you bet! :)

In fact I'll die with the camera in hand - and still continue to haunt you with photos of my CX... :DDr:

    CX season!

Another shot showing the BBS wheel:

    CX season!

But I still prefer original of course ;) .

I totally agree - but TRX's are impossible to find with Norwegian Michelin dealers (I even spoke to the official Michelin import office...) And if I could find - it would be far too expensice for yesterday's technology. ;)

Since you're such a purist... I bet you have TRX on your 604 as well?

    CX season!

Interior materials: Tabac blond velours. Still in good condition despite 315 000 kilometers...

    CX season!

    http://img474.imageshack.us/my.php?image=pict00119kz.jpg

I think that the Alfa wheels you show us looks great! The design - although very caracteristic Alfa Romeo - suits the CX well. Let me see the final result - when the tyres are fitted! :)

    CX season!

My CX is a 1982 CX Prestige Automatic. It has covered no less than 315 000 km. There has been 2 previous owners. Chassis and bodywork was renovated to my cost last year - which turned out to be quite expensive. Engine and gearbox is completely original and in very good condition. The wheels are Michelin Pilot Exalto 205/55 16 on light wight 7 x 16 BBS RC's - and really has transformed the car into the driving machine it was meant to be from the start. After all: 30 years of research & development has been done since the TRX design was launched... ;)

The wheel fit perfectly under the rear wheel arch covers:

    http://cx.zapto.org/albums/Prestige_lakkering/BBS_RC_004.sized.jpg

And I do take pictures with the suspension in normal position as well... ;)

    CX season!

I'm driving it a lot these days. Several longer runs as well... Bought a set of 16" wheels for serious driving - and to spare the TRX's for special occasions.. :)

  1. Hello Citrobert !

(No the concern for the extremely practical and extremely useful use of the lava-headlights, but Citroën could have drawn equipment better to integrate into the avoid-shock and more aesthetic fact.)

True! It is clearly an afterthought, provided by HELLA (supplier).

(I would like well that the Canadians can know that of Citroën BX circulate in Norway, to prove that our French cars resist the hard Scandinavian climate.)

Tha plastics gets a little "crispy" during cold periods - but else, it's a great "arctic" car! :)

(The inhabitants of Quebec remained on the bad French image of the cars of the years 1970 which rusted quickly.)

True... '70s Citroëns rusted badly - but so did a lot of the competitors from other countries... Mechanically a '70s CX is superior to a BX - my opinion.. :)

(You should go on the forum of the site http://www.forumauto.net/phpBB2/index.html to show with Canadian your superb BX. I present myself besides to it my BX 19 GTI in the headline ‘’Voitures des Membres ‘' (‘’Car of the membres‘’) looks at here at this address: http://www.forumauto.net/phpBB2/9412_0-citroen-bx-19-gti-de-janvier-1988-et-241000-km.html)

OK I will visit the forum at some point. I surfed by yesterday and checked out the pics of your cars... WOW! Fabaulous!!! Especially the BX GTI...

(And thus to prove with the inhabitants of Quebec, that a Citroen BX can face the Canadian climate as much as a Japanese car or Korean.)

A BX is perfect in the snow.. :)

(Is your Citroen BX Millésime which year ?)

    1992

(How many kilometers has it had you traversed for its first day ?)

115 000 (but the engine has been changed at some point - due to the first owner running it without checking the oil level.)

(Which is this the cubic capacity of the engine and is a diesel or a gasoline ?)

    1.6 petrol - monopoint injection

(Your photographs at the seaside are superb (pretty)) !

Thanx. The location is at Flö - at the Norwegian west coast (on an island just west of the city of Aalesund) Anyone visiting western Norway should go there.. and take photos of their car of course... ;)

  2. Yes, I totally agree with you. The headlamp washers are not pretty - but they work well on dirty & snowy/salty Norwegian roads during winter time. I don't have to stop to wipe clean the headlamps all the time. :) These were standard equipment on all BX's sold in Norway - even on the base model BX 14.

    GS coupe

    bonjour

I have made this photoshopped GSa coupe. the modifications are not so dramatic, but she looks wery difference from a standard GSA. The rims belongs to a Aston Martin.

    Crazy frog!

    ...must be Kermit! :)

    Basic shape not unlike M35.

    Clever.

  3. dommage qu'il n'y a pas une vue de 3/4 avant...

  4. Bonsoir Citrobert !!

    Always excellent your picture !

    Thanks

    ERIC

    Thanx, Eric!

    :)

My problem is that my Prestige is having its buty sleep 150 km away from where I live. The snow never seems to melt away this year, I still have 50 cms of snow in my garden i Oslo. So instead of playing around with my Prestige in the real world, I spend my spare time playing around with cars in Photoshop. I have some work to do on the mid part of the frame of my Prestige - since it was damaged during wax-oil treatment last year. A mechanic lifted it completely wrong. Luckily I had my camera with me so I could document the damage and get my compensation:

    http://cx.zapto.org/albums/album94/IMG_4405.sized.jpg

After a couple of days with intense searching I got hold of the last two mid frame parts for Prestige in stock - one from the Norwegian CX Club (http://www.citroencx.no) and one from Citroën Norway. So... First thing to do when I'm back from easter holiday late April... Can't wait to have my Prestige back on the road! Planning to drive to France this summer, so watch out! :)

(and that was no Photoshop... hehehe)
