Puisque la france adore le diesel, voilà un modeur qui devrair pouvoir rentrer sous la capot des triplettes.

C'est encore une version prtoto, mais elle semble pouvoir être rapidement mise en production.

Par contre là il y aura vraiment un problème de boite...

Designed with mass production in mind, this 1.2-litre in-line 2-cylinder direct injection 2-cycle diesel engine delivers a balance of performance, clean emissions and fuel economy. It is based on the 660cc in-line 2-cylinder direct injection 2-cycle diesel engine technology announced at previous Tokyo Motor Shows. It employs a hybrid scavenging system, which combines a supercharger and turbocharger. In pursuit of the torque of a 2-litre class engine together with outstanding fuel economy, we employed a turbocharger to utilize exhaust gas energy, an original scavenger port for optimized swirl, and a state-of-the-art common rail system to optimize injection pressure under all driving conditions. Thanks also to a residual gas control system and electronically controlled cooled EGR system, this compact engine maintains smokeless, low-NOx combustion over a wide load range. Not only is performance extremely clean, but the use of a balance shaft helps attain low vibration as well.

Il est pas hybride, c'est "juste" un bicylindre diesel 2T à turbo + compresseur. C'est Daihatsu. Pas encore en production mais pas loin apparement.

Et Daihatsi c'est Toyota, ou presque.

Intéressant ce diesel 2 cilindre 1,2L deux temps.

Daihatsu ont fait assi le Topaz KF 660cc avec une boite auto CVT, un ensemble très economique à la pompe.

Avec les prix du pétrole qui montent et montent peut être un autre option pour la C1...
